Signal right, stay in your own curve, and finish in the lane that matches the one you turned from.
Road Rules 2014 (NSW) rule 48Asked in general knowledgeShown in 3 practice questions
What it means
Turning right from one of two right turn lanes: what is the rule?
Two yellow cars wait side by side in a pair of right turn lanes, each lane painted with a white right turn arrow, under a green light. Their two yellow paths never cross. The car on the left of the pair swings wider and lands in the left lane of the new road, then heads into the side street just past the corner. The car on the right finishes in the right lane.
What to do
1
Signal right early, even though the lane is marked for turning.
2
Choose the left of the two lanes if your next move is a left turn soon after.
3
Follow your curve round and finish in the matching lane, leaving the car beside you its space.
