Driving past parked cars, slow down and leave room to stop for a child stepping out.
What it means
Your yellow bonnet sits at the bottom of a view down a suburban street. White cars are parked along the left kerb, and in the gap between two of them a small child stands at the footpath edge with a red ball near their feet. Parked cars hide children until the last moment, so slowing down here gives you the space and the time to stop.
Drop your speed wherever cars line the kerb near homes, parks or schools.
Scan the gaps between parked cars for small feet and moving balls.
Leave enough room to stop if a child steps out.
