Wait for a slow walker to reach the footpath, even when your light is green.
What it means
From behind your yellow bonnet you face traffic lights showing green. On the crossing just past your stop line, an older person with a walking stick is still making their way across, a small arrow showing which way they are going. Your green lets you go only once the crossing is clear. People who walk slowly need the time they need, and they may not see or hear your car.
Stay behind the stop line when the light changes.
Let the walker reach the footpath before you move off.
Never edge forward or drive around them to hurry them along.
