What it means
What does the give way sign ahead sign mean in NSW?
A tiny red-bordered triangle, point down, sits near the top of the diamond with an arrow climbing up to it. It means the road you are on will soon meet one where you have to give way, often after a bend or on a road where cars travel quickly. You may not need to stop when you get there, but you should arrive at a speed that lets you.
What to do
1
Ease off early and start scanning the road you will join.
2
Look out for the give way line painted across your lane.
3
At the junction, let all traffic in your path go first.
