Warning sign · Animals and people
Cattle or sheep may be on the road for the distance shown, so slow down and be ready to stop.
What it means
A wide yellow plate with a black rim shows 3 km at the top, with a black cow on the left and a woolly sheep on the right, both facing left. It warns that livestock may be on the road or being moved along it for that distance. Animals can stand in your lane or wander across without warning, so drive the signed stretch slowly enough to pull up.
Slow down as you pass the plate and keep the speed down for the distance.
Scan the road and verges for animals and the people moving them.
Stop and wait if stock fill the road, then pass slowly.
